Corat Therapeutics is looking for an agent against Covid-19. The biotech company, headquartered in Braunschweig, is a spin-off from the Technische Universität Braunschweig and immediately set to work to find effective human antibodies after the outbreak of Covid-19 in Germany.

The antibodies are designed to neutralise the virus to prevent it from multiplying.

The scientific leader Dr André Frenzel is excited about the support they received from the state of Niedersachsen. Right from the outset, the state of Niedersachsen together with the state development bank, NBank, helped us manage the financial hurdles. Niedersachsen is also an excellent location for setting up life science businesses, as there is plenty of scope for scientific exchange thanks to the abundance of expertise here.
